Sternfenster has been shortlisted in four categories at the 2026 G-Awards, recognising the continued investment in technology, manufacturing, customer service and employee development that underpins its work with trade customers.

The Lincoln-based window and door fabricator is a finalist for the Business Excellence Award, Digital Transformation Award, Fabricator of the Year and Training Excellence Award. Following four nominations in 2025, this year’s recognition highlights the progress being made across the business and its ongoing commitment to improving the service it provides to installers.

For trade customers, these developments represent more than industry recognition. From easier order management and improved delivery performance to knowledgeable support teams, Sternfenster’s continued investment is focused on helping installers run their businesses more efficiently.

Business excellence built around customer relationships

Building a successful fabrication business means understanding what matters to installers. Consistent service, reliable products, responsive support and a supplier that continues to invest in its operations all play an important role in a strong working relationship.

Sternfenster’s Business Excellence Award nomination recognises its approach to balancing commercial performance with customer satisfaction and employee development, guided by its Starglaze Family Principles.

In 2025, the business achieved £24.3 million in turnover and £2.65 million in EBITDA, more than doubling its EBITDA compared with the previous year. These results were achieved against a challenging market backdrop, with the company’s award submission citing an industry decline of 15% to 20%.

Customer relationships have remained a key part of this performance. Sternfenster recorded a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 80, while its marketing activity generated £2.5 million in new business.

The business also raised £63,879 for charity and continued to create opportunities for internal career progression, with employees advancing from shop floor positions into senior leadership roles.

For installers, a commercially resilient supplier that prioritises its customers and invests in its people provides a strong foundation for a long-term partnership.

Digital transformation that makes life easier for installers

Managing enquiries, preparing quotations and placing orders can take up valuable time for busy installation businesses. Sternfenster’s investment in digital technology aims to simplify these everyday tasks and give customers greater flexibility in how they work with their supplier.

The company’s Digital Transformation Award nomination recognises the development of an expanding in-house technology ecosystem, led by EasyAdmin+, its cloud-based platform for quotes, orders and customer administration.

Replacing a system that had been in place for 16 years, EasyAdmin+ has modernised the way trade customers interact with Sternfenster. Its adoption has already delivered significant results:

  • £122 million in quotes processed through the platform.
  • £14 million in orders handled.
  • 321 trade customers using the system.
  • 14.7% of orders automatically processed outside normal business hours.

For installers, the ability to manage quotes and orders more flexibly can help reduce administrative pressure and keep sales processes moving, even when the working day is over.

Sternfenster has also developed EasySales in partnership with the University of Lincoln. This augmented reality application allows installers to visualise products in customers’ homes, take measurements and prepare quotations, helping bring product options to life during the sales process.

Other initiatives include SiteVisit and Ask Kev, alongside the company’s Black Alert resilience programme and AI-assisted development work.

Together, these tools reflect Sternfenster’s focus on practical digital solutions that support both its own operations and the day-to-day needs of its installer network.

Fabricator of the Year: Improving reliability and delivery performance

Reliable manufacturing and delivery are essential for installers working to agreed schedules and managing customer expectations. Delays or incomplete orders can affect installation planning, so improvements throughout the supply chain can make a meaningful difference to a trade business.

Sternfenster’s Fabricator of the Year nomination recognises progress across manufacturing, operational performance and customer service, including a significant improvement in complete and on-time in-full (COTIF) delivery performance.

The company’s COTIF performance has increased from 86% to the mid-90s, reflecting its continued focus on production processes, operational coordination and delivery standards.

This progress supports Sternfenster’s wider aim of providing installers with a dependable supply partner, helping them plan projects and manage their commitments to homeowners with greater confidence.

Alongside its manufacturing improvements, Sternfenster offers a broad range of PVC-U and aluminium windows and doors, supported by digital services and dedicated customer support.

By continuing to invest in operational performance, the company is working to strengthen the consistency and reliability that trade customers need from their fabricator.

Investing in people to strengthen customer support

Behind every successful manufacturing operation is a skilled, knowledgeable and motivated workforce. Sternfenster’s Training Excellence Award nomination highlights the importance it places on developing its employees and creating opportunities for long-term career progression.

Its Drive to Thrive programme combines structured learning with regular coaching, mentoring and professional development. Since February 2026, the business has recorded 584.5 hours of employee development, supported by ongoing coaching and mentoring across its teams.

Employees have also been supported in pursuing professional qualifications, including Level 7 MBAs and ACCA qualifications, while internal progression has enabled colleagues to build careers across different areas of the organisation.

Recognition is another important part of Sternfenster’s approach to workplace culture. Since April 2025, the company has recorded 1,687 moments of employee recognition, helping acknowledge individual contributions and celebrate achievements across the business.

This focus on employee experience is reflected in an employee Net Promoter Score of 81.5% in its award submission.

In October 2025, Sternfenster became the first UK fenestration company to achieve Investors in People Platinum accreditation, the organisation’s highest level of recognition.

For trade customers, investing in people also means investing in the teams responsible for manufacturing, order processing and customer service. Developing skills and strengthening workplace culture can help create a more knowledgeable, responsive workforce to support installers as their businesses grow.

Four G-Awards nominations reflect a shared commitment to improvement

Commenting on the four nominations, Mike Parczuk, Managing Director of Sternfenster, said:

“To be shortlisted for four G-Awards for the second consecutive year is a fantastic achievement and something we’re incredibly proud of. It reflects the commitment of our entire team and the work taking place across every area of the business to continually improve what we deliver for our customers.

“Our people are at the heart of everything we achieve. Whether that’s developing new technology, maintaining manufacturing standards or supporting customers, the expertise and dedication of our teams make a real difference.

“To receive recognition across four different categories is especially encouraging because it demonstrates the breadth of work taking place throughout Sternfenster. We’re looking forward to celebrating the achievements of the wider industry at this year’s G-Awards.”

The four nominations recognise different areas of Sternfenster’s business, but each reflects the same underlying commitment: continually improving the products, processes and service available to its trade customers.

From digital tools that simplify administration to stronger delivery performance and investment in knowledgeable teams, Sternfenster continues to develop its business with installers’ needs in mind.

For existing customers, these improvements form part of an ongoing commitment to a dependable supply partnership. For installers considering a new fabricator, they offer an insight into the investment and progress taking place behind the Sternfenster name.
